GIDGEGANNUP
RENOVATION

STAGE TWO: 2022 - 2023

Nestled in the sweeping hills of Gidgegannup, our latest interior design project involved the renovation and refurbishment of Yarrahdale Stud Farm.

Transformed into a Modern Hamptons sanctuary, where every detail and selection tells a story of elegance and comfort. Step into this bespoke design that honours past narratives while embracing contemporary living.

A Modern-Hamptons Farmhouse Transformation

As you step through the black-painted, double front doors, the newly renovated residence greets you with a breathtaking entrance and dramatic style.

Above, an Italian black glass chandelier cascades from the high ceilings, sculpting the light and offering a modern interpretation of timeless elegance.

Below, the re-flooring has completely redefined the space with a bold black and white checkered design that sets the stage for the rest of the home's renovation.

Along the walls, elegant wall wainscotting and panelling finishes complement the Hampton-style interior.

A vibrant pop of colour commands attention in the monochromatic scheme with a large-scale original artwork selected to create a sense of interest and play. This style is echoed by the luxurious ottoman below, custom-designed for the space by Principle Interior Designer, Sharon Wiley.

As part of the spatial planning and structural renovation of the interior design project, the Seven Willow Designs team worked with the client to extend the home's traditional games room, to include space for a custom-designed pool table and generous seating to accommodate twenty people. The extended design harmonises the home's historic character with new, convivial possibilities.

In the selection of materials, a key element of the room’s allure has been created through the feature fireplace and custom bar facade, consisting of hand-selected Toodyay Quartzite. The presence of this natural stone harmonises with the room's sophisticated design elements, bridging the gap between the home's storied past and its contemporary refinement.

Above, a bold architectural coffered ceiling stretches expansively, with recessed lighting casting a soft, ambient glow that enhances the room's depth and volume. The strategically placed downlights punctuate the space with points of illumination, contributing to the atmosphere of refined grandeur.

The space is meticulously crafted to honour its history with dignified traditional elements, yet it speaks a contemporary language of style and function.

The master bedroom is a sanctuary of classic finishes, where the wall's paneling and wainscotting pay tribute to timeless elegance.

The black-painted ceiling is a bold counterpart to the monochromatic checkered dance on the wet area floors.

The room's heart lies in the customized four-poster bed, draped in a black Japanese stain, echoing the custom-designed furniture's grace throughout the home.

The rug underfoot is a spectrum of colours, reflecting the tones found in the national Australian artwork adorning the space, creating a visual chorus that sings throughout the room.

The master ensuite is a masterpiece, where black and white checkered floor tiles lay the foundation for an ambience of understated opulence.

The walls, enveloped in Laminam ceramic cladding with a Bianco Statuario Venato finish, bestow a seamless and natural backdrop to the striking black-framed reeded glass shower screens.

A custom-designed vanity in black lacquer crowned with a marble top reaffirms the home's commitment to a design that is not merely seen but felt.

The laundry redefines functionality with Hampton-style cupboards, cleverly integrated with pull-out drying racks, ensuring that every need is not just met but anticipated with finesse.

The pocket doors reveal a suite of modern appliances, including the washer, dryer and steaming, all standing at the ready but discreetly tucked away when not in use.
